Hungary participated in the twenty-seventh edition of the Eurovision Song Contest Tengaged which was hosted in Donetsk, Ukraine. The Hungarian entry was selected through the national competition A Dal 15, organised by the Hungarian broadcaster MTVA. Hungary was represented by Reni Tolvai and Kállay Saunders with the song "Say". The entry qualified from the first semi-final and finished 11th with 103 points.

Before Eurovision Tengaged

MTVA announced that Hungary will participate in the twenty-seventh edition of the Eurovision Song Contest Tengaged, despite the poor results from last two editions.

A Dal 15

The format returned to the previous system format with 2 rounds. MTVA presented the 4 candidates with some familiar faces in it.

A total of 18 country juries took part in the jury voting, whose votes were added up to the televoting later. The final started on 20 August, ending on 30 August 2017. The winner announcement took place on 31 August 2017 where Reni Tolvai and Kállay Saunders were announced as the winners and won the right to represent Hungary in Eurovision Song Contest Tengaged 27 with her song "Say".

At Eurovision Tengaged

On 5 September 2017, the semi-final allocation draw for the Eurovision Song Contest Tengaged 27 took place. Hungary was drawn to perform in the first half of the first semi-final.

Reni Tolvai and Kállay Saunders finished in eleventh place with 103 points recieving 12 points from Italy.

Voting

Hungary participated and had to vote in the first semi-final. In the final, Hungary announced their votes as 8th.
